Art Consulting for Designers

The right artworks don't just fill wall space; they transform how people experience the environments you create.

When thoughtfully integrated from the early design phases, art curation becomes an essential layer that elevates a beautifully appointed room into an environment that captivates and inspires. Yet sourcing pieces that achieve this level of integration requires time, connections, and an intimate understanding of contemporary art—resources that are precious when you're already leading complex design projects.

As practicing artists with deep roots in the contemporary art world, we understand the nuanced relationship between art and space. We can collaborate with you from the earliest design phases, developing curatorial concepts that enhance your vision, or provide expert guidance when you need that perfect finishing touch. Our comprehensive approach encompasses everything from discovering emerging talent and facilitating bespoke commissions to coordinating custom framing and seamless installation.

Working With Us

Our process is designed to integrate seamlessly with your existing project workflow and timeline.

1.
Project Briefing & Scope Definition.

After your initial inquiry, we'll schedule a project briefing to understand your design intent, spatial requirements, and art placement strategy. We'll review your budget parameters and timeline to ensure our recommendations align with your project's financial framework and delivery schedule. This initial consultation establishes clear expectations and allows us to tailor our approach to your specific project needs.

2.
Design Documentation Review.

We'll work with your existing project materials—elevations, floor plans, finish schedules, FFE selections, and dimensioned drawings—either during our call or via secure file transfer. This review ensures our art curation integrates seamlessly with your architectural and interior design decisions, maintaining the cohesive vision you've established. After this review, we will share a “Look and Feel” document that shares the visual approach we want to take, allowing for any revisions before the proposal is presented.

3.
Comprehensive Proposal & Creative Narrative

Our detailed proposal presents thoughtfully curated selections alongside the conceptual framework and narrative we've developed specifically for your project. Each recommendation includes our curatorial rationale, explaining how the pieces enhance your design intent and contribute to the overall spatial experience. We provide comprehensive artist biographies for any collaborators we've invited, giving you and your clients insight into their practice and artistic approach. The proposal includes complete specifications, lead times, and transparent pricing that covers all fees, custom framing, and logistics, aligned with your project timeline. We can provide additional proposal rounds as needed, ensuring final selections meet both your design standards and project requirements.

4.
Project Management & Delivery.

Once selections are approved, we assume full responsibility for procurement, production oversight, and delivery coordination. Whether sourcing existing works or managing custom commissions, we maintain clear communication channels, provide regular progress updates, and coordinate all aspects of framing, shipping, and installation to meet your project milestones.

Our goal is to function as a trusted extension of your team, delivering exceptional outcomes while maintaining the professional standards and attention to detail your projects demand.

Our Approach.

An Expert Eye

The curation of our custom art packages focuses on unique and limited edition works often sourced directly from artists. Using our large network of emerging contemporary artists we are able to either purchase existing work or commission new pieces specifically for your project.

Valuing our Collaborators

Each of our collaborations is structured to support the work and the livelihoods of the artists we invite; we highly value their individual practices and approaches. We believe this focus ensures partnerships are equitable and mutually enriching.

Connecting to a Story

Responding to the context of the site, the architecture and interior selections are paramount when conceiving of and curating our art packages.  Our aim is for the selected artworks to add a rich layer of interest that contributes to the narrative of the space’s design.

Museum-Quality Works

We always produce work with the highest quality materials and our understanding of archival standards ensure that pieces are made to last. Our studio is run by working artists which means we are able to offer the unique combination of art consulting services and in-house custom fabrication.

Our Capabilities.

Artist Commissions

Drawing on our extensive network of emerging and mid-career artists, we can facilitate the commissioning of new work created specifically for any space. We take care of all communication and artist liaising as well as contract negotiation and project management from the production process through to shipping.

Custom Framing

Carefully selected framing can elevate artworks and ensure they fit harmoniously with the selected materials throughout the space. We work with numerous framing partners depending on the project; they allow us to offer framing options ranging from the most cost effective through to premium, museum-quality frames.

Procurement

We understand that thoughtful art sourcing can be time consuming. We take on the process of connecting directly with a wide array of artists and dealers to present clients with artwork options that go beyond the typical commercial art sources.

Fabrication

Beyond the production of printed editions we have the capabilities to produce new pieces in an array of different mediums including paintings, wood reliefs and textiles. Often we will also collaborate with other creative studios to complete larger-scale work that may require the use of specialized machinery.

Print Editions

If a project requires multiples (ie. hotel rooms, furnished condos), we have the capacity to produce limited edition prints in our studio and can collaborate with invited artists to produce the imagery for each edition. We offer clients the option for these designs to be exclusive to their project, meaning they wouldn’t be reproduced or used anywhere else.

Shipping & Installation

Experienced in the packing, shipping and installation process, we bring an understanding of industry standards for the handling of fine art pieces. We ensure that works are appropriately crated, where necessary we take care of importation documentation and finally we provide expert on-site supervision and direction during artwork install.

Our Hospitality Projects

A selection of our current and recently completed hospitality art consulting projects, ranging from intimate suites to expansive hotel properties, demonstrating the full scope of our curatorial capabilities and expertise.

Ka La’i Hotel, Waikīkī Beach

For the stunning transformation of this iconic Waikīkī Beach destination, we had the privilege of creating a comprehensive art collection that brings every renovated guest room and corridor to life. The ambitious vision—where Hawaii's rich cultural heritage seamlessly blends with contemporary sophistication—called for artwork that could honor the island's timeless spirit while elevating the modern luxury experience.

Working alongside the acclaimed London-based Brian O'Sullivan Studio, we developed an art program that enhances their exceptional design vision with pieces that feel both deeply rooted in place and refreshingly contemporary.

Ocean View Villas

We curated a cohesive art collection for a series of six-bedroom villa properties that are part of the Costa Palmas development on the East Cape of Cabo, MX. The architecture and furniture design took their stylistic cues from the idea of the “sculptural organic”, and so our forty-piece art package similarly drew from that inspiration.

The Wall Street Hotel

In this unique partnership we worked in collaboration with interior designers Rose Ink Workshop and APY Art Center, an indigenous Australian art collective whose artists were invited to create new works for the newly opened Wall Street Hotel in New York.
