Art consulting at Print Club works best when we're brought in early — ideally during design development, when art can be integrated into the brief, the budget, and the schedule from the start. The earlier we're involved, the more we can offer: gallery acquisitions, artist commissions, and limited editions produced in our own Marrickville studio for projects that need work made specifically for the space.

Our process is designed to integrate with the way you already run projects, not to add a parallel workflow on top.
1.
Project Briefing and Scope Definition
We start with a call - it’s usually around thirty to forty-five minutes - to understand the project, the design intent, the spaces art needs to live in, and where art fits into your timeline.
If you're working with an individual client, we can include them in the conversation when it's useful. We'll talk about budget openly: what's allocated to art, what flexibility there is, and how the trade margin we receive from galleries typically offsets a meaningful portion of our involvement.

Design Documentation Review
We work from your existing materials; elevations, floor plans, finish schedules, FFE selections, to understand the spatial and material context our recommendations need to sit within. From there we put together a Look and Feel document: the visual and conceptual direction we'd propose taking, with room for revisions before we go deep on specific works.

Detailed Proposal and Creative Narrative
The proposal presents specific works alongside the thesis behind each recommendation: why this artist, why this piece, why it earns its place in the space. As working artists, we bring a conceptual framing to every selection that isn't available from gallery-only consultancies.
We include lead times, full costings (fees, framing, logistics) and the timeline mapped against your project schedule. Further proposal rounds are part of the process; we can often land on final selections in one pass, but are always ready to take the additional time if needed.
4.
Project Management and Delivery
Once selections are signed off, the work shifts to us. We handle procurement (or production, if works are being made in our studio or by commissioned artists), contracts and payments to artists and galleries, framing, crating, shipping, and on-site supervision at install.
Your team gets regular updates against the project schedule; we own the timeline from sign-off through to install day.
