A Visit to Huntington Gardens, Pasadena, CA

This past weekend we made our third visit to the gorgeous Huntington Gardens in Pasadena, a short drive from West LA we were staying (30-40 minutes). The blindingly bright sunlight on Saturday made for a lovely day of strolling but also some very sharply contrasted photographs - be warned! This extraordinary collection of botanical gardens can take you around the world, from the California desert to Japan, China and even Australia. Similarly the visitors to the gardens come from all over and for good reason - this is a truly special spot for plant lovers.

Full disclosure, theis group of images are an amalgamation of three separate visits in 2016, 2017 and 2019. It’s incredible how the character of the different gardens shift and change depending on the season and our multiple visitations should convince you that these gardens are not to be missed.
