From Home Studio to Hauser and Wirth

We first met Thomas Murphy around three years ago when when he was running South East London Print Studio from his backyard garage. Now, this past week we were able to duck in and check out his newly-named Make-Ready in Kentish Town.

Tom and his team are knocking out the most glorious screenprints for clients like Hauser & Wirth (Make-Ready have completed a number of fine art editions for artists like Matthew Day Jackson and the estate of Alexander Calder) While we also spotted some screens labelled for non other than Boy George (the Karma Chameleon himself) who the team is mid-way through a glitter-filled project with.

Thomas has such an infectious love for the process of screenprinting that it’s such a thrill to chat with him about it all. Enjoy some pics from around their space and rest assured next time we’re in town they will have further expanded their printing empire!
